The Institute of Actuaries of India is providing the online entrance test for the candidates and this entrance test is popularly known as ACET (Actuarial Common Entrance Test). ACET 2025 Exam Pattern:

Mode: The entrance examination is conducted in online mode (computer-based test).
Type of queries: Multiple alternative objective questions are asked within the question paper.
Marking scheme: every correct answer is awarded one mark.
Negative markings: For 1 mark question, 0.5 marks will get deducted. For the 2 marks question, 1 mark will be deducted. For the 3 marks question, 1.5 marks will be deducted.
Duration: 3 hours are assigned to the candidates.
Marks: The question paper is of most one hundred marks.
A number of queries: The question paper can contain a maximum of seventy questions.
Section: The question paper can comprise 2 sections (section I – arithmetic, statistics, and information interpretation, section II – English and logical reasoning).

New Structure of ACET 2025 Examinations:

ACET is a 3 hours examination conducted online. It’s 70 multiple-choice queries with one correct answer for each question.
The question paper pattern and distributions of queries as below
a. 45 queries – One mark each
b. 20 queries – Two marks each
c. 05 queries – Three marks each
The syllabus includes the following:
Section-I Mathematics, Statistics and Data Interpretation having fifty-fifth of weightage and
Section-II English and Logical Reasoning having forty-fifths of weightage
The syllabus basically was covering mathematics and Statistics of 10+2 Levels.

Old Structure of ACET Exam:

The exam of ACET was a two-hour, 100 marks on-line examination. ACET examination had fifty-five multiple-choice queries of a total of a hundred marks with one correct account for every question.

a. 25 queries – one mark each
b. 25 queries – two marks each
c. 05 queries – five marks each
The syllabus basically was covering mathematics and Statistics of 10+2 Levels.
