Admission Procedure

Applicants can get admission in Engineering courses through the national level or university level entrance tests. Various universities organizes their separate entrance test to offer admissions. In case of vacant seats, admission may also be done through the merit of the qualifying exam.

Entrance Exam

Admission in B. Tech is done through JEE Main 2025 exam. It is a national level exam organized by the NTA board. For admission in IIT, students have to qualify both JEE Main & JEE Advanced 2025 exams. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University organizes the IPU CET 2025 (university level) exam for providing admission in B.Tech courses offered by IPU and its affiliated colleges.

Through JEE main, candidates will be offered admission into B.Tech/ B.E/ B.Arch courses. For JEE Advanced, admission will be offered into bachelor’s, integrated master’s , or bachelor’s master dual degree courses. Candidates will be offered admission into MBA, B.Tech, M.Tech, LL.B & MCA courses through IPU CET.

B.Tech Admission 2025

Most colleges & universities give admission on the basis of JEE Main scores. Applicants can apply for JEE Main through online mode only. Below we have mentioned the eligibility criteria of JEE Main exam:

• Applicants should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam in the year of 2022 & 2023 form any recognized board.
• Diploma holders are also eligible to apply.
• No minimum marks required to appear for the JEE Main exam.
• Applicants should have chemistry, physics & mathematics subjects in the qualifying exam.

Selection Procedure

A merit list will be prepared as per the marks obtained in the entrance test or the qualifying exam. Applicants will be invited for counselling process according to their rank. During counselling process, candidates will have to pay the counselling fee and submit their preferences.

Seats will be allotted to candidates as per the filled choices, rank, category & availability of seats. JoSAA will regulate the counselling for providing admission in IITs. Once the seat is allotted applicants have to appear at the allotted college for admission.

Documents Required

Documents will be verified at the time of counselling. Applicants must carry their original documents along with photocopies for the verification process. Documents required for verification are given below:

1. 10^th class mark sheet & passing certificate
2. 12^th class mark sheet & passing certificate
3. Character certificate
4. Transfer certificate
5. Scorecard & admit card of the entrance test (if any)
6. Category certificate (if applicable)
7. Domicile certificate (for state quota), etc.
