Admission Procedure

Applicants can apply for admission in B. Tech courses through the national level entrance test. No state level exam is organized for providing admission.

Some colleges may also give admission in engineering courses on the basis of merit list. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying exam.

Entrance Exams

In Himachal Pradesh, admissions will be done through JEE Main 2023 exam. It is a national level entrance exam administrated by the (NTA) National Testing Agency. Applicants willing to get admission in IIT will require to qualify both JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2023 exams.

• Applicants should have passed/appearing in the 12^th or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
• In the qualifying exam, students must have physics, chemistry & mathematics subjects.
• Applicants must have qualified 12^th exams in 2020 and 2021 will be eligible to apply.
• No age limit criteria is prescribed to apply for JEE Main exam.

Selection Procedure

Applicants have to qualify the entrance test or they can apply on the basis of merit as prescribed by the respective college. Applicants will be able to participate in the counselling process according to their rank. Through counselling process, candidates will fill their preferences for admission.

Seats will be allotted as per the choices filled, rank, category and availability of seats. Applicants have to appear at the allotted college with required documents and fees to confirm their admission.
