Kolkata B. Tech Admission 2023 has been started through WBJEE & JEE Main scores.
In Kolkata city, the admissions in four years of B. Tech courses will be held through national level entrance examination and state level entrance exam.
Candidates with higher rank in the entrance test will be given preference in allotting the seats in engineering courses. To get seats in the colleges, it is necessary to participate in the counselling procedure. After the seat allocation, candidates are required to report to the allotted college to complete admission process.
JEE Main is the national level entrance test on the basis of which candidates can get admission to B. Tech courses. NTA is the exam conducting authority of JEE Main 2023.
Candidates can also appear in the state level entrance exam, i.e. WBJEE 2023 (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) for admissions in engineering programmes.
Interested students can apply for these entrance test through online mode. Students must fill the application form before the due date, as no application will be accepted by the authority after the due date.

Here, candidates check the basic eligibility criteria to sit for the entrance exam:
- Applicants should hold the Indian nationality.
- Applicants should pass the 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Applicants must have Physics, Mathematics, and anyone (Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational) in the qualifying exam.
- The minimum marks in 12th class are 45% (40% marks for reserved category candidates).
- Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
After the declaration of written test, the concerned authority will publish the ranks for the candidates on that basis they can participate in the counselling.
The candidates those will be shortlisted on the basis of entrance test called for counselling process. At the time of counselling, candidates have to fill their choices for the colleges and stream.
Applicants will get seats on the basis of rank, seat availability and choices filled by them. After seat allotment, Applicants need to report to the assigned college for the completion of further admission process.
