Uttarakhand B.Tech 2023 Seat Allotment for Mop-up round has been released on 10th August 2023 through online mode. Uttarakhand formerly called as Uttaranchal is located in the northern region of India. It was carved out of the state Uttar Pradesh on 9th November 2000. Dehradun is the capital and largest city of this state. The average literacy rate of this state is 78.82% as per data recorded by the census 2011.

Admission Procedure

Admissions in B. Tech course will be done through entrance tests held at national and university level. Applicants can also apply for admission in the lateral entry in B. Tech through the state level entrance exam. Some colleges may also offer admission on the basis of merit list of the qualifying exam.

Entrance Exams

Most of the colleges consider the JEE Main 2023 scores for providing admission in engineering courses. UTU (Uttarakhand Technical University) organizes the UKSEE 2023 exam to offer admission for lateral entry in B. Tech courses.

Students looking for admission in UPES can appear for the UPESEAT 2023 (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test). Students with a higher rank is preferred for admission.

Uttarakhand has many top governments and private engineering colleges. Some top engineering institutions are Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT), Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, etc.

B.Tech Admission 2023

Applicants can apply for admission in B. Tech course after completing their 12^th exams. Before appearing for the entrance test, students must check their eligibility.

Below we have provided the eligibility criteria for JEE Main exam:

• Applicants must have passed 12^th/diploma or any equivalent exam in the year 2021 & 2022 from any recognized board or institution.
• Applicants appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
• No age limit criteria is applicable to apply for JEE Main.
• Applicants must have physics, chemistry & mathematics subjects in the qualifying exam.

Selection Procedure

Admission will be done through entrance test or merit list of the qualifying exam. Applicants can participate in the counselling process as per their rank.

Applicants have to fill their choices of colleges and courses at the time of counselling. Seats will be allotted to students on the basis of rank, filled choices and availability of seats. For admission in IIT & NIT, students have to participate in the JoSAA counselling.

Applicants have to carry their original documents and their photocopies for the verification process. Without document verification, admission will not be given. Below we have provided some documents required at the time of verification:

1. 10^th & 12^th class mark sheet
2. 10^th & 12^th class passing certificate
3. Score card & admit card of the entrance test (if required)
4. Character certificate
5. Transfer certificate
6. Category certificate (if applicable)
7. Domicile certificate (for state quota),etc.
