CAT 2021 Result has been released on 3rd January 2022.The candidates can download their CAT scorecard by using their login ID and username. CAT 2021 result cum scorecard contains each candidate’s name, registration number, category, photo, sectional score, overall score, sectional percentile, and overall percentile.

CAT result is going to be available in online mode only. Post the declaration of result, IIM shortlisting will begin based on individual CAT cut-offs.

How to Check CAT 2021 Result?

The CAT result 2021 is out there on the official website of IIMCAT for download. Registered candidates can check their results and download the scorecard by using their CAT login IDs. to check the CAT result 2021, the candidates got to follow the below-mentioned steps:

Click on ‘CAT login’
Enter CAT 2021 ID and password
Click on scorecard tab
Download the CAT scorecard

Each candidate’s CAT scorecard contains the subsequent details:

How is CAT Percentile Calculated?

Calculation of CAT percentile includes three steps:

In CAT, three marks are awarded for every correct answer and one mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks are deducted for wrong answers in non-MCQ type questions.
Each candidate is first scored section-wise then the overall score is arrived at by totaling the section-wise scores.
Thereafter, these section-wise and overall scores (raw scores) are normalized to arrive at a scaled CAT score.
The normalized scores are converted into percentiles which are reported on the CAT scorecard.

What is CAT Normalization Process?

The CAT exam is conducted in two slots and also the difficulty level of the exam of 1 session varies from the otherto make sure equity within the marking process, CAT authorities follow a normalization process where the marks of each candidate are scaled.

What After CAT 2021 Result?

After the declaration of CAT 2021 result, the IIMs will invite candidates for Written Ability Test (WAT), group discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The candidates who will meet the minimum cut off set for shortlisting for this round, are going to be required to apply on the official website of the IIMs they chose within the CAT application form for admission. Thereafter, the institutes will shortlist candidates on their overall and sectional CAT percentile and academic record.
