CTET 2020 Syllabus:

There will be 2 papers in CTET. Paper-I is going to be for the candidates who wish to teach from class-I to V and Paper-II are going to be for class VI to VIII teachers. CTET 2020 Syllabus for Paper-I:

The candidates are suggested to check the syllabus for Paper-I from the below points:

Child Development and Pedagogy: This subject can contain thirty queries. The topics on this subject are going to be of child Development (Primary School Child), The concept of inclusive education and understanding children with special needs, and Learning and Pedagogy.

Language I: This subject can contain thirty queries. The topics on this subject are:

  • Learning and acquisition
  • Critical perspective on the role of grammar in learning a language for communicating ideas verbally and in written form
  • Teaching-learning materials: Textbook, multi-media materials, multilingual resource for the classroom
  • Remedial Teaching
  • Challenges of teaching language in a diverse classroom, language difficulties, errors and disorders
  • Principles of Language Teaching
  • Role of listening and speaking, function of language and how children use it as a tool
  • Language Skills
  • Evaluating language comprehension and proficiency: speaking, listening, reading and writing

Language – II: It will consist of thirty queries. the topics on this subject are:

Comprehension: there’ll be fifteen queries. 2 unseen prose passages with the queries on comprehension, grammar, and verbal ability quite topics are going to be asked during this.
Pedagogy of Language Development: it’ll contain fifteen queries. For this subject, there are numerous topics under it. The topics are:

  • Critical perspective on the role of grammar in learning a language for communicating ideas verbally and in written form
  • Challenges of teaching language in a diverse classroom; language difficulties, errors and disorders
  • Language Skills
  • Learning and acquisition
  • Principles of Language Teaching
