General Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must go through the eligibility norms before filling the IIT JAM 2024 application form.
- Nativity: Indian national as well as foreign national will be eligible for JAM.
- Qualifying Exam: Applicants applying for JAM must have bachelor’s degree as a qualifying examination degree.
- Minimum Marks: As per the new changes announced in the eligibility norms for IIT JAM 2024, the percentage marks /CGPA/ CPI obtained in the qualifying degree is relaxed now to JUST PASS to be eligible to apply for IIT JAM 2024.

Before applying, a candidate should complete a Bachelor’s degree from the stream of science from a well-known university.
Candidates who are graduate via distance studies, they will also apply for this examination.
Candidates who belong to General or OBC class they must have gone graduation with a minimum of 55% of marks but candidates who belong to the reserved class, they have to be passed via 50% of marks.
The Indian candidates and Foreign candidates each can apply for this examination.
