About Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti & NVS Territories:

Following the National Policy of Education 1986, Govt. of the Republic of India started Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). Presently the JNVs are situated in Twenty eight States and Seven Union.

These are co-educational residential faculties supported and administered by Govt. of the Republic of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Admissions in JNVs are formed through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya selection test (JNVST) at Class VI.

Eligibility Criteria for all Candidates:

Only the candidates from the district involved wherever the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to attend for admission. However, if the district wherever JNV is opened is divided at a later date, the previous boundaries of the district are considered for the aim of eligibility for admission into JNVST, just in case, a new Vidyalaya has not started within the freshly divided district so far.

A candidate claiming admission below rural quota should have studied and passed classes III, IV and V from a Govt. /Govt. aided/recognized faculty spending one full term annually in a faculty settled in the rural area.

Exam Language:

The test is conducted in twenty-one languages together with Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English, Garo, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Khasi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Mizo, Oriya, Punjabi, Sindhi (Arabic), Sindhi (Devnagri), Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Nepali

Exam Pattern:

The selection test is of two-hour length from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm and can have three sections with solely objective kind queries. Release of Admit Card:
