JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

It is the main exam conducting authority that organizes Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main). Basic Eligibility:

Nationality: Candidates should be an Indian citizen.
NRIs, PIOs, OCIs & Foreign national candidates can also apply.

The requirement of “Aadhar Card”:

Aadhaar Card is not mandatory to apply for this examination.
Candidates will use Passport number, ration card number, bank account number or the other valid Government identity number.

Age Criteria:

Age Limit: There’s no age limit prescribed to apply for JEE Main 2024.

Qualification Criteria:

Qualifying Exam: Candidates should qualify their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Subjects: Candidates should take a minimum of five subjects in 12th/equivalent examination. Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2024 should have passed class12th with Physics as mandatory subjects together with one amongst the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical vocational subject.
Passing Marks: There’s no prescribed percentage to appear within the examination. Candidates having passing marks may also apply.
Appearing Candidates: If a candidate appears in 12th or equivalent class in 2024 are eligible for JEE Main 2024. NIOS candidates may also apply for this exam.
Diploma Holders: To appear in JEE Advanced, a diploma holder will apply in JEE Main 2024. However, their rank & score in JEE Main won’t be considered for admission in NITs & CFTIs. No board marks are going to be taken into account for calculating JEE Main score from the year 2017 onwards.
For B.Arch (Paper 2): Physics, Chemistry subjects are necessary for 10+2 examination. Candidates ought to have secured 50% aggregate within the qualifying examination.

Eligibility for Admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs:

The eligibility criteria decided by the Council of Architecture for admission to B.Arch. course other than NITs, IIITs, CFTIs:
“No candidate shall be admitted to Architecture course unless she/he has passed an examination at the end of the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination”.
For B. Planning, the candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with 50 % marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination.
