JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern will be checked by the students online provided by NTA. JEE Main consists of two papers, Paper one for B.Tech/ B.E. aspirants and paper two for B.Arch/ B. Planning. As per the exam pattern of JEE Main 2024, Paper one can comprise of objective type questions based on Maths, Chemistry, and Physics having equal weightage within the total of 360 marks. Whereas, Paper two of JEE Main are going to be for 390 marks based on Arithmetic, Aptitude and Drawing skills. Each of the papers is of three hours.

NTA, the exam conducting body have declared the JEE Main 2024 exam pattern. According to it, Paper I and II are conducted in 2 shifts per day. Also, paper one is being held in complete computer-based mode, while paper II is conducted partly computer-based (mathematics and aptitude test) and partly pen-and-paper based(drawing test).

JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern:

JEE Main Exam Pattern 2024 indicates the exam mode, type of question, marking scheme, etc. The JEE Main exam may be a national level examination, which is organized to provide admissions in undergraduate engineering and architecture courses provided by NITs, IIITs, and IITs. JEE Main Paper One Exam Pattern:

Courses: The paper-1 of JEE Main 2024 is going to be conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering courses.
Exam Mode: The examination is going to be held through online mode.
Subjects: JEE Main Paper one can contain queries from chemistry, physics and arithmetic subjects.
Number of Questions: It’ll contain a total of ninety objective type queries. Weightage to all subjects is given equal. A total of thirty queries are going to be asked from every subject.
Type of Questions: Objective type -Multiple choice queries are going to be asked.
Exam Duration: The exam length is going to be three hours. four hours for candidates having a 40% disability. It’ll be conducted in 2 sittings, i.e. 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
Question Paper Medium: For all exam city centres, the question paper medium is English and Hindi. Students filling the exam centres in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Havel cities have the option to opt the question paper in English, Hindi and Gujarati medium. Candidates ought to exercise the option of question paper language at the time of filling the application form.
Marking Scheme: Every correct question will carry four marks.
Negative Marking: 1/4 negative marking for each incorrect answer i.e. one mark is going to be subtracted for every incorrect response.

JEE Main Paper Two Exam Pattern:

Courses: The paper-2 of JEE Main 2024 is conducted for admission to undergraduate architecture courses.
Exam Mode: The mode of exam for paper-2 is on-line solely. The drawing test for Paper 2 is conducted through offline mode.
Subjects: The JEE Main Paper 2 can includes 3 parts that are arithmetic, aptitude test, and drawing test.
Number of Questions: This paper can consist total of fifty queries for aptitude test, 2queries for drawing test and thirty queries from arithmetic.
Type of Questions: Objective Type -Multiple choice queries are asked for Part-I and Part-II.
Exam Duration: The period of the examination is three hours. four hours for candidates having a 40% disability.
Question Paper Medium: Question paper medium is English and Hindi. Students filling the exam centers in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Havel cities have the option to opt the question paper in English, Hindi and Gujarati medium.
Marking System: Each objective type question can carry four marks for the correct response and 2 drawing queries contains a total of seventy marks.
Negative Marking: For each incorrect response 1/4 of the entire marks allotted to that question are subtracted from the entire score.
