KEAM Eligibility Criteria has been provided below. KEAM 2024 Eligibility Criteria is comprised of qualification, age criteria for appearing within the examination. KEAM is the Kerala Engineering examination for those candidates who want to pursue UG engineering courses from the prestigious private and government colleges of Kerala.

Admission into MBBS/BDS and other medical allied subjects is done through NEET 2024. Admission into B.Arch courses is done on the basis of NATA score. Nationality:
The appearing candidates ought to be an Indian citizen.
Person of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) also are eligible to apply but they’re not entitled to claim any reservation.

Category wise Eligibility:

The candidates seeking for the KEAM 2024 are categorized as follows:

Keralite:
The candidates who hold the domicile certificate of Kerala will come in this class. If the parents are the employee of All India Services of Kerala then the children are considered as ‘Keralite’ and eligible to apply without claiming any reservation.

Non-Keralite-1:
The candidates who are not Kerala origin and even their parents also don’t have any residence proof of Kerala, but satisfying the subsequent candidates:
Passed their qualifying examination from Kerala and parents are posted in Kerala and employee of defense or central government.
The candidates whose parents are serving/served Kerala Government for an amount of two years and appearing/appeared qualifying examination from Kerala can come in this class and eligible for applying.
In case, if the candidate isn’t the permanent resident of Kerala but spent five years of his/her study in Kerala then he/she is additionally eligible.
Those who don’t have a domicile certificate of Kerala however completed/pursuing their eighth to twelfth studies from Kerala also are eligible for KEAM 2024.

Non-Keralite Class II:
Those who don’t fall under Keralite or Non-Keralite-1 can return under Non-Keralite category II. This class candidate is eligible for admission to Government seats and Management quota seats in Engineering courses in Government Controlled Self Financing colleges.
Besides this, Non-Keralite class II candidates are eligible for applying to Government Seats in Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering colleges only when the Keralite and Non-Keralite I (NK I) candidates are not accessible for admission.
These candidates also are eligible for admission to Government Seats and Management Quota seats in private Self Financing Engineering/Architecture colleges.
NK II candidates also are eligible for admission to a maximum of 100% seats below Management Quota in private Self Financing Pharmacy colleges.
‘Non-Keralite class II’ (NK II) candidates are not eligible for admission to Medical and Allied Courses including MBBS/BDS and for admission to Government Engineering Colleges.

Age Criteria:
Lower Age Limit: The minimum age required for KEAM 2024 is seventeen years. The candidates who have completed seventeen years of age as on the thirty-first Dec 2024 are eligible for applying.
Upper Age Limit: There is no upper regulation for KEAM 2024 examination.

Qualification Criteria:

For Engineering Courses:

For B.Tech Courses (including Agriculture Engineering/Food Engineering /Dairy Technology/Food Technology):

Qualifying Examination: Candidates should qualify the Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent thereto from a recognized board.
Minimum Marks: it’s required for the aspirants to pass the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Mathematics separately and a mixture of fifty marks in PCM subjects when put together.
If the candidates have passed the above examination with 45% marks in PCM put together, then he/she is eligible for admission below Management Quota in private Self-financing Engineering colleges/Government Controlled Self-financed Engineering Colleges.
In case, candidates not study chemistry subjects, then marks secured in computer science subjects are considered.
If candidates have not studied computer science & chemistry subjects, then the marks scored in Biotechnology are considered.
In case, candidates not study Chemistry, Biotechnology and computer science, the marks secured in Biology are considered.

For B.Tech (Dairy Technology):

Qualifying Exam: Candidates should pass the 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Minimum Marks: Qualify the above examination with 50% marks in Mathematics/Biology separably marks in PCM/B place along.
Note: The vocational Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, has been recognized as equivalent to the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala.

For Agriculture Course (B.Arch):

Qualifying Exam: The aspirants should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
10+3 Diploma (any stream) candidates also can apply for this exam with 50%aggregate marks with arithmetic as one of the topics of the examination.
International Baccalaureate diploma (after ten years of schooling) candidates with not but 50% marks in the mixture & with arithmetic as a mandatory subject of examination also can apply.
Subjects: Pass the qualifying examination with arithmetic as a topic of study.
Minimum Marks: Pass the above test with 50% mixture marks.
NATA Score: The admission is done on the basis of NATA. Candidates can qualify in NATA on or before ten June 2024.
There is no relaxation within the minimum passing score of NATA to any class candidate.
