KTET Exam 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility Criteria for Class I (Lower Primary):
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of forty fifth marks and 2-year diploma in education, in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), rules 2002. OR the same examination with a minimum of fifty marks and 2 year diploma in Education (Special Education).
Relaxation of 3 in qualifying marks is admissible for OBC & OEC candidates.
Relaxation of fifty in qualifying marks is admissible for candidates belonging to SC/ST and otherwise abled categories.

Eligibility Criteria for Class II (Upper Primary):
A/ B.Sc./ B.Com. and 2year certification in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent. OR
Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of50% marks and 4 year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed or a similar examination with a minimum of fifty marks and 4 year Bachelor in education (B.El.Ed.) OR
Relaxation of 3 within the minimum qualifying marks is admissible for OBC & OEC candidates.
Relaxation up to five within the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST and differently abled categories.

Eligibility Criteria for Class III (High School):
Those who possess minimum academic qualifications as represented here below are eligible to appear for K-TET III.
BA/BSc/B.Com with at least of 45% of marks and a B.Ed. Degree within the subject concerned (from anyone of the universities in Kerala or from the other Universities recognized as similar to that.)
For arithmetic, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Biological Science, people who have MSc.Ed. Degree within the subject concerned from one among the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT with not below 50%marks are eligible to apply.
