KTET 2021 Category II Lower Primary Classes (Class 1-5):
12th/10+2 (or it’s equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks and qualification certificate of two-year teacher training course (TTC) [by whatever name known] conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.
12th/10+2 (or it’s equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks alongside qualifying 2-year diploma in education (as known) by NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002.
12th/10+2(or it’s equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and a degree in 4 years Bachelor of Education (B.El.Ed.)
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
KTET Category II Upper Primary Classes (Class 6-8):
B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. Graduation degree and 2-year diploma Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) [by whatever name known] conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.
Qualified graduation in B.A/B.Sc/B.Com with a minimum of 45% marks and possess one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), by regulations, norms, and procedure of NCTE as per the newest official notice
Qualified 12th or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks alongside appearing and qualifying four years Bachelor in Education (B.El.Ed)
Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and four-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed.

KTET 2021 Category III Highschool Classes (Class 9-12):
Graduated with BA/B.Sc/B.Com degree securing a minimum of 45% marks alongside a B.Ed. Degree within the subject concerned (from any one of the universities in Kerala or have acquired these qualifications from the other Universities recognized as like it.
Candidates willing to apply for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, should have MSc.Ed. Degree within the subject concerned with not but 50% marks from one among the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT to be eligible to use.
Those candidates have an interest in Botany and Zoology subjects, should be qualified with MSc.Ed. Degree in life science with not less than 50% marks from any of the Regional Institutes of Education is eligible to apply.
KTET 2021 Category IV Highschool Classes (Class 9-12):
Those candidates who have acquired qualifications for the posts of Language Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit & Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers & education teachers as mentioned in Chapter XXXI of Kerala Education Act And Rules can apply for Kerala TET 2021 paper IV.
Candidates, possessing Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in teaching in any subject, and are approved by Universities/NCTE/ Board of Examinations/ Government of Kerala, are eligible to apply.
