Age Relaxation:
For physically disabled candidates, the age limit is relaxable by 02 years within the case.
For Class IX candidates, there’s no age restriction provided the candidate is seeking admission into class X within the same year.

Seat Relaxation:
7.5 % of scheduled candidates
15 % of SC candidates
3 % for differently abled candidates.
25 % for student belonging to Economically weaker sections of society (EWS).

Documents to be Attached to the Registration Form:

For Class I:
Certificate of proof of age within the form of a birth certificate issued by the authority competent to register births.

For other Classes:
The date of birth would be accepted that recorded within the transfer certificate issued by a school recognized by the State education department.
The original DOB certificate ought to be came back to the parent when verification.
Admissions up to class VIII may be granted without any college transfer certificate provided the child is otherwise eligible and his birth certificate has been issued by a Govt. body or affidavit.
A certificate of relationship should be made for grandchildren of the Honorable Members of Parliament, PSU staff and KVS staff.
SC/ST/EWS/OBC and BPL classes candidates are needed to provide a certificate issued by a state or union government.
Handicapped or physically disabled candidates are needed to provide a certificate from a civil surgeon or rehabilitation centre.
A certificate of retirement for uniformed Defense personnel.

KVS Admission Method 2019-20:

For Class I:
Out of the available seats of fresh admission, 15 % are reserved for SC and 7.5 % are reserved for SC/ST candidates.
There will be 2 phases for the admission to first class.
The short fall within the seats reserved for SC/ST, if any shall be made good by admitting SC/ST candidates.

Neighbourhood & Proof of Residence:
Proof of residence shall need to be produced by all candidates.
However, due to the non-submission of Proof of residence, the admission can’t be denied.
A self-declaration in writing from the parent regarding distance can also be accepted to this effect.
For the purpose of monitoring a system of Draw of lots to be held in class I, each Kendriya Vidyalaya can constitute a committee.
The same would be done in the other category wherever such stage is reached when all candidates of a particular class or having same number of transfers can’t be accommodated against the available variety of seats.

For Class II to Class VIII:-
Admission test shall not be conducted for admission to class II to VIII.
The admission may be granted based on Priority category system (1 to 5 or 6as the case may be).
The lottery system are followed in every class including single girl child quota. (Class VI Onwards), if applications are more than the number of seats.

For Class IX:-
Admission shall be granted within the sequence of priority classes, within the order of merit.
For admission to class IX, an admission test shall be conducted and a merit list ready for each class of priority separately.

For Class XI:-
Admission to class XII in streams of Humanities, Commerce and Science are on the basis of merit list.
The merit list are ready as the CGPA obtained by the student in class X.
Class strength is reserved at forty per stream.

For Class 10 & 12:
For Admission to class 10 in Kendriya Vidyalaya other than kv students are entertained subject to availability of vacancies. only if the typical strength in class ten or twelve is below forty, the Deputy Commissioner of the Region involved KVs can consider such admission to class ten.


This may subject to change per the following conditions:

For class ten, the candidate should have obtained not less than 6.5 CGPA in class nine.
For class twelve, the candidate should have obtained not less than fifty fifth marks in class eleven examination.
The candidate has been within the same course of studies that’s in a CBSE affiliated college.
The combination of subjects opted by the candidates ought to be available in Kendriya Vidyalayas.
