Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2023 (KVS 2023) is a system of central government schools which are under the support of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD). There are a total of 1094 Kendriya Vidyalaya in India at present and three schools abroad also.
Kendriya Vidyalaya is affiliated to the Central Board of education. The admission process for Kendriya Vidyalaya will start from March 2023 and also the notification will get released by the last week of February 2023. Kendriya Vidyalaya Eligibility Criteria:
Age criteria:
For class 1st the minimum age limit is 5 years and also the maximum age is 7 years.
For class 2nd the minimum age limit is 6 years and the maximum age is 8 years.
For class 3rd the minimum age limit is 7 years and also the maximum age is 9 years.
For class 4th the minimum age limit is 8 years and the maximum age is 10 years.
For class 5th the minimum age limit is 9 years and therefore the maximum age is 11 years.
For class 6th the minimum age limit is 10 years and the maximum age is 12 years.
For class 7th the minimum age limit is 11 years and therefore the maximum age is 13 years.
For class 8th the minimum age limit is 12 years and the maximum age is 14 years.
For class 9th the minimum age limit is 13 years and therefore the maximum age is 15 years.
For class 10th the minimum age limit is 14 years and the maximum age is 16 years.
KVS Admission 2023 Age Relaxation:
For physically handicapped candidates there’s age relaxation of by 02 years.
For Class 9th class students, there’s no age restriction provided the candidate is seeking admission into class X within the same year.
For Class 12th class students, there’s no age limit provided there should be no break within the continuous study.
Seat Relaxation:
5% seats are for Scheduled candidates
15% seats are for SC candidates
3% for differently able candidates.
25% seats are for economically weaker sections of society (EWS).

For Class 1:
The certificate of proof of age of the child within the form of the date of birth issued by the authority competent to register births.

For Class II to Class VIII:
The admission test not conducted. Admissions are provided on bases of merit.
The admission could also be provided on bases of Priority to category system.
A lottery system are going to be followed in each category including single girl child quota if applications are more than the number of seats.
For Class IX:
An admission test is conducted for seeking admission to Class IX.
A merit list prepared for every category separately.
Admission is granted within the sequence of priority of the categories prepared within the merit list.
For Class X and XII:
Admissions are provided on bases of no. of vacancies
The Deputy Commissioner of the Region concerned KVs will grant permission to class 10thand 12th
For Class XI:
In Class XII admission in streams like Humanities, Commerce, and Science are going to be 40 per stream.
The admission will provide on basis of merit list prepared as the CGPA obtained by the student in class X.

Choose the closest Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Fill the details of the candidates
Upload the documents asked within the application form.
After submitting the form take out the print out of the applying form.
Priorities for KVS Admission 2023 Category-I:
The Children of foreign national officials, who come on deputation/ transfer to India on invitation by Govt. of India.
Children of transferable and non-transferable central government employees.
Children of ex-servicemen.
Category-II:
Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/ Institute of Higher Learning/ Public Sector Undertaking of the govt of India.
Category-III:
Children of transferable also as non-transferable government employees.
Category-IV:
Same as category II candidates
Category-V:
Children from the other category including the foreign nationals’ children who located in India due to their work/ for any personal reasons.
Only just in case , there are no Indian Nationals for Admission, then the children of Foreign Nationals would be considered.
