Lucknow University M.Ed 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants who hold the B.Ed., B.A.-B.Ed., B.Sc.-B.Ed., B.El.-B.Ed., & D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree or a recognized BTC or LT diploma or equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate from a University established by the law and recognized by the University Grants Commission.
• One candidate can not pursue two Postgraduate degree courses while at the same time.
• Applicants willing to appearing for the qualifying examination in the current year can apply for admission but they should fulfill all eligibility conditions on the day of admission.

Lucknow University M.Ed 2024 Admission Procedure

The candidates will be given admission based on the marks received in the written examination and Interview, subject to fulfilling other eligibility criteria as specified by the university.

• Mode of Exam: The exam will be held through Offline Mode.
• Duration of Exam: The written test will of 3 hours duration
• Type of Questions: The Exam Paper will be done in the Multiple Choice question (MCQ) formats.
• Number of Question: The Exam Paper shall be Contains 250 questions.
• Number of Marks: The Exam Paper shall be Contains 250 Marks.

Lucknow University M.Ed 2024 Interview

The interview process is a maximum of 10 marks. The interview round is held to assess the power of expression, subject knowledge, teaching ability, and personality of the presidential candidate.

Lucknow University M.Ed 2024 Final Merit

Only those candidates would be eligible for admission to the M.Ed. program who participated in both the written test and interview. A final merit list is prepared for admission to M.Ed. out of a maximum of 310 marks.

The merit is drawn up by considering the marks obtained in a written test (250 marks), academic index weightage (50 marks), and interview (10 marks).

The final Merit list shall be available in the concerned Departments and the same will be available on the University website.

Tiebreaker Criteria

If more than one candidate obtains equal marks in the entrance exam, the merit is decided as follows:

• If the age of the candidates is the same in such cases the first preference is given to the candidate who secures a higher percentage of marks at B.Ed. or equivalent examination.
• If the marks fixed in the B.Ed. or equivalent examination are the same in such cases first preference will be given to the candidate who secures a higher percentage of marks at the Graduation examination.
• If the marks fixed in the Graduation examination are the same in such cases first preference given to the candidate who gives to a higher percentage of marks at Class 12 or equivalent examination
• If the marks secured in the Class 12 examination are the same in such cases first preference will be given to the candidate who secures a higher percentage of marks at High School or the equivalent in examination
• If the marks secured in the High School or with an equivalent examination are the same in such cases first preference goes to the older candidate
