Registration with the State Nursing Council: Only those applicants are eligible to apply for the admission procedure who have successfully registered themselves as Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with any State Nursing Registration Council.

Educational qualifications: Candidates must complete the B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Hons. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. nursing course from a recognized nursing institution to get admission in the institute by the Indian Nursing Council.

Qualifying marks: Applicants must score more than 55% marks in the qualifying exam if they belong to the general category. And that of reserved category applicants should score a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exams.

Work experience: Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or a college or school of nursing or a community health program after registration with the State Nursing Council.

Medical fitness: One should be medically fit at the time of admission.
