NIFT 2025 Syllabus:
NIFT 2025 entrance exam will be conducted in four sections:
- General Ability Test.
- Creative Ability Test.
- Situation Test.
- GD and PI Interview.
1. General Ability Test (GAT):
- Quantitative Ability
- English Comprehension
- Communication Ability
- Analytical Ability
- Current Affairs and GK
- Case Study
A. Quantitative Ability:
The exam includes questions on:
- Addition
- Multiplication
- Division
- Percentage
- Rate of Interest
- Fractions
- Work and Task
- Ratio and Proportion
- Distance.
B. English Comprehension:
This exam aims to test the applicant’s ability to comprehend a situation.
C. Communication Ability:
It includes questions on:
- Synonyms
- Words with corresponding meanings
- Singular
- Antonyms
- Plural
- One word substitutes
- Idioms and phrases
- Correct spellings etc.
D. Analytical Ability:
This sub-test is designed to test the applicants’ capacity for the ability of inference and logic.
E. Current Affairs and GK:
This sub-test is designed to test the candidate’s general knowledge and current affairs.
F. Case Study:
This is be based on a situation of an industry environment.

2. Creative Ability Test (CAT):
This examination is conducted for admission in B.Des and M.Des programs solely. During this section, queries are going to be asked to judge the intuitive ability, design ability, and power of observation in the concept development of the candidate.
An important aspect of the test is the innovative and creative use of color and illustration skills. Candidates need to use their imagination and work on their drawing skills to create new ideas by using colors.
3. Situation Test:
Shortlisted candidates for B.Des from the written entrance test are needed to require a situation test that may be a hands-on test to calculate the candidate’s expertise for the material. Candidates won’t be provided/allowed additional material for use.
The model is going to be evaluated on the composition of elements, innovative and creative use of given material, construction skill, color scheme, space visualization, the finesse of the model and overall presentation, etc. These parameters are going to be checked with the write up explaining the concept behind the model constructed.
Therefore, no candidates are going to be given marks for a write-up in the other language. The use of extra material/outside in making the design/model isn’t permitted.

4. GD & PI Interview:
GD would comprise approximately fifteen to twenty minutes of discussion on a case study assigned. During this, a panel of experts can assess the candidates on various parameters together with Leadership qualities, conceptual clarity, knowledge of the topic assigned.
Candidates shall be evaluated on the varied parameters by a panel, within the Personal Interview like Aptness for the course, Communication, Career Orientation, General awareness and aptitude, Overall personal achievements in academics and co-curricular activities, creative.
NIFT 2025 Syllabus are going to be prescribed by the authority of NIFT. Candidates are needed to arrange themselves for the NIFT entrance test according to the syllabus prescribed for varied courses and within the medium of English.
