• At the time of filling the application forms, applicants will have to enter some details such as personal details, educational details, academic details, contact details, residential details, etc.

NLU Assam 2023 Application Fee

The major process in completing the NLU Assam 2023 Application Process is the payment of the NLU Assam 2023 Application fee. The applicants will be able to go to the process of making the payment of the NLU Assam 2023 Application fee after successfully filling the NLU Assam 2023 Application Form.

NLU Assam 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The official authorities of the NLU will be setting some requirements for the applicants who want to apply for the admission process. So the applicants will have to get all the details related to the NLU Assam 2023 Eligibility Criteria before applying for the admission process.

Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB (Hons.) course

• Educational qualification: In order to get admission to BA LLB (Hons.) course the applicants must have completed and passed the HSC exam with 10 + 2 systems or any other equivalent exam.
• Recognition: The applicant must have passed the HSC exam or the qualifying exam from a recognized board of the state.
• General category minimum percentage: In order to get admission in BA LLB (Hons.) course, the applicants who belong to the general category must have secured minimum 50 % marks in total in the qualifying exam.
• Reserved category minimum percentage: In order to get admission to BA LLB (Hons.) course, the applicants who belong to the reserved category like SC or ST or PWD must have secured a minimum of 45 % marks in total in the qualifying exam.
• General category Maximum Age Limit: In order to get admission to the BA LLB (Hons.) course offered in the institution the applicants must be below the age of 20 years as on 10th July.
• Reserved category Maximum Age Limit: The reserved category like SC or ST or PWD category applicants must be below the age of 22 years as on 10th July.

Eligibility Criteria for LLM course

• Educational qualification: The applicants must have completed LL. B. Three years or Five years Integrated Degree Exam or any other equivalent exam in order to get admission in LLM course
• Recognition: The applicant must have passed the LL. B. Three years or Five years Integrated Degree Exam from a recognized University which is been approved by the UGC (University Grants Commission) as well as the NLUJAA.
• General category minimum percentage: In order to get admission in the LLM course, the applicants who belong to the general category must have secured a minimum of 55 % marks in total in the qualifying exam.
• Reserved category minimum percentage: In order to get admission in LLM course, the applicants who belong to the reserved category like SC or ST or PWD must have secured minimum 50 % marks in total in the qualifying exam.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph. D. course

• Educational qualification: The official authorities will provide admission to the eligible applicants in different Ph. D. courses if they have successfully completed their Master’s Degree in Law or any other equivalent exam. However, those applicants who have completed their Master’s Degree in any other discipline are also eligible to apply for the admission process if they have some interest and a special focus on Public Policy or Law. 
• General category minimum percentage: In order to get admission in the LLM course, the applicants who belong to the general category must have secured a minimum of 55 % marks in total in the qualifying exam.
• Reserved category minimum percentage: In order to get admission in LLM course, the applicants who belong to the reserved category like SC or ST or PWD must have secured minimum 50 % marks in total in the qualifying exam.
• Work Experience: The applicant who has the work experience of a minimum of three years is also eligible to apply for admission.
• Qualifying: The applicants who have passed the Company Secretary Exam by the ICSI and have been awarded as an Associate Membership of the Institute are also eligible to apply for the admission process.
• Basic selection criteria: The official authorities will select the applicants on the basis of the UGC – NET / JRF / SLET / Admission Test and Personal Interview.

NLU Assam 2023 Admission Process

In this section, we will be providing the details related to the NLU Assam 2023 Admission Process, for each course for the reference of the applicants.

For BA – LLB (Hons.) course and LLM course

The official authorities of the National Law University have decided that the admission process for providing admission to the applicants in the BA – LLB (Hons.) course and LLM course will be done on the basis of the entrance exam.

That means the applicants who have appeared for the CLAT entrance exam will be able to get admission in this course. As the admission process is purely on the basis of the CLAT entrance exam scores.

The applicants who have scored well in the CLAT entrance exam will be able to get admission in BA- LLB (Hons) course which is a five-year integrated program

For Ph.D. course

The official authorities will organize a separate admission test for those applicants who want to get admission to the Ph. D. courses that are offered in the National Law University. The details related to the separate admission test will be updated on the official website.

The applicant who will clear the admission test conducted by the university will be able to get admission in the part-time and full-time Ph. D courses. Such applicants who have qualified the admission test will be eligible to appear for the interview round which will again be conducted by the official authority.

However, for this course, those applicants are also eligible to apply who have completed UGC – NET / JRF / SLET / M. Phil or are the Judge. Such applicants need not appear for the admission test, instead, they will be eligible to apply for the interview round directly.

NLU Assam 2023 Seat Intake

NLU Assam 2023 Reservation Criteria

The applicants willing to get information regrding the NLU Assam 2023 Reservation Criteria can go through the details we have mentioned below in this article. The authorities have reserved 7 % of the total seats for the applicants who belong to the Scheduled Caste of Assam state.

In the institution, 10 % of the total seats have been reserved for the applicants who belong to the Scheduled Tribe of Assam (Plains) state And 5 % of the total seats have been reserved by the official authorities for those applicants who belong to the Scheduled Tribe of Assam (Hills) state

NLU Assam 2023 Cut Off

The official authorities will be responsible to decide the NLU Assam 2023 cut off every year for the eligible applicants. The applicants who have scored higher than the cut off marks will be able to get admission to the institution.

NLU Assam 2023 Result

The official authorities of the National Law University will be preparing the NLU Assam 2023 Result for the applicants. The NLU Assam 2023 Result will be prepared on the basis of the CLAT entrance exam. The official authorities of the NLU will prepare the NLU Assam 2023 Result on the basis of the marks secured by the applicants in the CLAT entrance exam.

After announcing the NLU Assam 2023 Result, the official authorities will prepare the merit list. The merit list will consist of the names of the applicants who have been shortlisted by the authority for the further admission process.
