WBTET Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teachers (Class I to V):

The applicants must fulfill the subsequent minimum eligibility conditions as prescribed by NCTE from time to time to be eligible to seem for the WB TET exam:
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in education (DEIEd)
Or
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of education (BEIEd)
Or
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
Or
Graduation and a two-year Diploma in education (DEIEd)
Note: 5% relaxation of marks in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination 10+2 (ie 45%) are going to be allowed for the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, Exempted Category, an ex-serviceman, and DH (Death-in-harness) category candidates.

Cleared their BSc/BA or equivalent education
Cleared their BEd/Secondary education exam with minimum of 50% marks
Qualified the final four years Bachelor in education (BEIEd)
Appearing in final two years BSc/ BA/ Diploma in Education and clear the exam with a minimum of 45% marks
