West Bengal B.Sc. Nursing 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualifications: HSC exam in any stream must be completed from a recognized board or university by the applicant.

Mandatory subjects: One must have physics, chemistry, biology – botany, and zoology along with English as mandatory subjects in the HSC exams.

Qualifying marks: General category applicants must score more than 45% marks in the qualifying exam. Reserved category applicants must score a minimum of 40% marks in the HSC exams.

Recognized board: Applicants willing to get admission to the university must have cleared the HSC exam from a known board like AISSCE, CBSE, ICSE, SSCE, HSCE, or equivalent board.

Appearing applicants: Applicants appearing for the final exam of the HSC exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.

Age criteria: Applicants must be above the age of 17 years at the time of admission. No maximum age limit was decided for the applicants by the authorities.

Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

Domicile certificate: The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal state.

• Exam Mode: The entrance exam will be held through offline mode (pen and paper-based test).
• The type of Questions: MCQ will be asked in the question paper.
• Questions: 50 questions of 100 marks will be asked in the entrance exam.
• Marks: Two marks will be awarded to the applicant for each correct answer.
• Negative Marking: Each incorrect answer will deduct ½ marks from the exam.
• Exam Language: The question paper of the entrance exam will be published in English and the Bengali language.
• Exam Duration: Applicants will get two hours to solve the paper.
