Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teachers for Classes I – V (Primary Stage):

i. Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing within the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (by whatever name known).
OR
ii. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks and passed or appearing within the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
iii. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing within the final year of 4 years Bachelor of education (B.EI.Ed.).
OR
iv. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent} with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing within the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
v. Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing within the final year of two years Diploma in Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

i. Graduation and passed or appearing within the final year of a 2-year Diploma in education.
OR
ii. Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
OR
iii. Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulation issued from time to time during this regard.
OR
iv. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent} with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing within the final year of 4 years Bachelor in education (B.EI. Ed.).
OR
v. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent} with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing within the final year of 4 years B.A.IB.Sc. Ed. or. B.A.Ed.l.B.Sc.Ed. or Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 Year B.Ed. (Special Education).
