Admission Procedure
The admission in Chennai colleges and universities will be offered on the basis of entrance exams which will be held on various levels. Candidates willing to get admissions in the engineering courses can appear in these entrance exam and get admission. Applicants can get admissions on a state level and a national level entrance exam.
Entrance Exams
The various government and private universities and institutions offer admissions through national level JEE Main 2023 entrance exam. Candidates, those want to get admission into B.Tech course in IITs, they have to qualify the JEE Advanced 2023. TNEA 2023 (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) is the state level admission procedure for offering admissions in B. Tech courses after class 12th.
Candidates can also apply for university-level exams, SRMJEEE & VITEEE for engineering courses admission. Candidates those wish to pursue M.Tech course, can apply through GATE 2023 scorecard.
JEE Main exam is organized by the NTA (National Testing Agency) in various sessions. Students can apply for this exam through online mode only. No offline mode is available to fill the application. Candidates must fill the application before the due date to avoid last minute rush.

B. Tech Admission 2023
Candidates should meet the eligibility criteria given below to appear in the entrance exam. Without fulfilling these eligibilities candidates cannot sit in the written exam.
- Applicants must belong to the India national.
- Applicants should pass the 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and any one (Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational) Subjects.
- Applicants should have 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates) in their qualifying exam.
- Appearing candidates can also apply.

Selection Procedure
Applicants those who qualify the entrance exam will be considered for the counselling session. JEE Main and Advanced qualified candidates will have to register in the centralized counselling organized by the JoSSA. It is necessary to register for any counselling in their respective website. On the basis of candidates’ rank obtained in the entrance exam, they will be called for the counseling where they have to fill their preferences. On the basis of choice filling and document verification, the seats will be allotted to the candidates.
