Admission Procedure

The admission in the state colleges of Goa will be given on the basis of various entrance exams. Most of the universities conduct its own entrance exam for offering admissions in its offered engineering courses and its specializations. On appearing in the entrance exam, candidates can get admission in the top institutions of the Goa state.

Entrance Exam

Applicants can appear in any of the entrance exam to get admission in the B.Tech and B.Arch courses offered in the state. The admissions will be offered through the national level JEE Main 2023 entrance exam for B.Tech and B.Arch courses. JEE Main exam is conducted at national level by the NTA (National Testing Agency). It is conducted in various sessions every year. Applicants can apply for this exam through online mode only.

The state level entrance exam is also conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa for engineering courses by the name of GCET 2023. Applicants can also appear in BITSAT 2023 for admission in BITS Pilani, Goa. For M.Tech courses, candidates must have to appear in national level GATE 2023  entrance exam.

Some of the top engineering colleges in the state are such as Birla Institute of Technology and Science, National Institute of Technology, Goa College of Engineering, etc. Applicants can get admission in these institutions only after qualifying the entrance exams.

B.Tech Admission 2023

Applicants are advised to go through these given below eligibility criteria to appear in the entrance exam.

• Applying candidate must belong to the Indian national.
• Candidate should score 45% marks and above in their qualifying exam.
• There is no age limit criteria to apply for JEE Main exam.
• Candidate should pass with a PCM combination of subjects along with English.
• Candidate must pass the qualifying exam from the recognized board.
• Appearing candidates can also apply.

Selection Procedure

The seats in the engineering colleges of Goa will be provided on the basis of rank obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam and availability of seats. Applicants will be called for the B.Tech counselling on the basis of merit list prepared by the concerned authority.

The counselling will be conducted by various institutions separately. The admission procedure will be followed by the online registration, fill courses & college choices, reporting in the allotted college and payment of admission fee. After issuing of seat allotment letter, the candidate can report to the allotted institution and get admission.
