Common Entrance Examination for Design [CEED], once filling on-line application form keep prepared this documents – Your photograph in jpg format, your signature in jpg format, your degree certificate or certificate from Principal/Head of the department in pdf format, cast certificate in pdf format (for SC/ST/OBC class candidates only), Medical certificate in pdf format (for candidates claiming PWD status), expertise certificate just in case of candidates with G.D. Arts qualification.

CEED 2023 Syllabus:

CEED 2023 will be in two parts, Part A and Part B. Part A will have Queries related to this topic.

Part A Syllabus:

Visualization and Spatial Ability: Pictorial and diagrammatic questions to test the understanding of transformation and I or manipulation of second shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships.

Awareness of design terminologies, social and cultural connection with the design, and socially responsible and environmentally sustainable design responses. History of art, history of the designed whole, sculpture, and literature.

Analytical and Logical Reasoning: Ability to analyze given information logically and select the foremost appropriate solutions. Ability to weigh opinions, arguments, or solutions against acceptance criteria.

Ability to use logic and structured thinking to deduce from a short passage, which of some statements is the most correct response to a posed question.

Language and Creativity: Ability to understand passages in commonly used English language. Ability to think creatively concerning alternatives, ability to distinguish innovative options, and think out of the box.

Part B Syllabus:

Analytical and Problem Solving Skills:

Ability to know the user and the context, knowledge of properties of materials and process, and their appropriate use in design, originality of solutions, ability to make characters, plots, and stories, etc.

CEED 2023 is an aptitude test, and hence no specific textbook/guide is recommended for its preparation.

CEED Paper Pattern Instruction:

The total duration of the examination is three hours. The question paper contains 2 parts – part A and part B. The duration of part A is one hour. The duration of part B is 2 hours. part B can begin solely after part A ends. part A can not be attempted after part B commences.
Questions of part A and part B can seem on the computer. Answers to part A need to be entered into the computer. Answers to part B need to be given within the answer book provided by the Supervisor
Part A carries a complete of a hundred marks. It contains 3 sections: Section I, Section II, and Section III.
Part A, Section I (Total thirty marks) contains a complete of 10 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) queries. For these queries, an answer may be a number that has to be entered using the virtual keyboard on the monitor. No choices are shown for these queries. each correct answer is awarded 3 marks. queries not tried are awarded zero marks. there’s no negative or partial marking for this section.
