CLAT known as Common-Law Admission Test is a national level examination. This test is conducted by the consortium of National Law Universities. CLAT is the national level entrance examination conducted by NLUs for taking admission into Law courses all over the country.

English Including comprehension:

The English section can test the candidate’s proficiency in English based on comprehension passages and grammar. within the comprehension section, candidates are going to be assessed on their understanding of the passage and its central theme, meanings of words used in this, etc. The grammar section needs correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks in sentences with appropriate words, etc.

General Knowledge and Current Affairs:

The General information is going to be evaluated on the general awareness together with static general knowledge. Queries on current affairs can test the candidate’s on their knowledge of national and international current affairs.


This section will test the candidate’s knowledge of elementary mathematics, i.e., maths taught up to tenth Class/Standard.

Legal Aptitude:

This section will test the candidate’s interest within the study of law, research aptitude and problem-solving ability. queries might include legal propositions (described within the paper), and a set of facts to that the said proposition should be applied. Some propositions might not be “true” within the real sense, candidates can assume the “truth” of these propositions and answer the queries accordingly.


Logical Reasoning:

The purpose of the logical reasoning section is to test the candidate’s ability to identify patterns, logical links, and rectify illogical arguments. it should include a variety of logical reasoning queries like syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. However, visual reasoning won’t be tested.
