For FTII Admission: The Film and Television Institute of India, FTII was established in the year 1960 which was located at the Mandi House in New Delhi. In 1974 the FTII was shifted in Pune at erstwhile Prabhat Film Company bringing both pieces of training together in Film and Television in one roof.

What is FTII?

FTII Admission & Entrance Exam: The FTII, Film and Television Institute of India is an independent institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting by the Govt. of India and look after by the Central Govt. of India. Shri. Gajendra Chauhan takes charge as Chairman on 7th Jan 2016 by FTII Society, and Governing Council held on 7th Jan 2016. The FTII student’s films have always made their name and impressions and have won some awards at the various film festivals and many other programs held in India and abroad.

Courses, Eligibility, and No. of seats:

FTII Film Courses:

1-Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Direction and Screenplay writing.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree.
No. of Seats: 10.

2- Three years Post Graduate Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture/interior design or any equivalent qualification.
No. of Seats: 10.

3- Three years Post Graduate Diploma in Sound Recording and Sound Design.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with Physics in STD 12.
No. of Seats: 10.

4- Three years Post-Graduate Diploma in Cinematography.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree.
No. of Seats: 10.

5- Three years Post Graduate Diploma in Editing.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree.
No. of Seats: 10.

6- Two year Post Graduate Diploma in Acting.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree.
No. of Seats: 10.

7- One year Post Graduate Diploma in Feature Film Screenplay Writing.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree.
No. of Seats:12.

FTII Television Courses:

1-One year Post Graduate Certificate Course in TV Direction.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree.
No. of Seats: 12.

2- One year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Electronics Cinematography.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree.
No. of Seats: 12.

3- One year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Video Editing.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree.
No. of Seats: 12.

4- One year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Sound Recording and TV Engineering
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with Physics in STD 12.
No. of Seats: 12.

FTII Application Form:

The Applicant willing to apply the Film and Television Institute of India Entrance exam can apply via both online and offline modes for FTII admission. For online mode, the applicant will have to go through the website. They can also get the form by post or by hand. The application fee for the general candidates will be around 2150/- Rs, and for OBC/ST/SC, for reserved categories, the fee will be around 650/-Rs. The application fee has mentioned before should be paid by a demand draft of any nationalized bank in the name of Accounts Officer, Film and Television Institute of India, Pune” which should be payable at Pune. The entrance exam application form of FTII is expecting to be out in the first week of June.

FTII Admission & Entrance Exam will be conducted through offline modes like pen and paper-based mode in many different centers around the country. Three hours of duration will be given for the exam, and the paper will be of 100 marks approximately. The Entrance exam is conducted to check the student’s interest in the field and their logical thinking and different creative skills he can do.

Now for filling the application form, the candidate has to visit the official website of FTII and then go to apply online link. Then fill all the details mentioned in the form such as Demand draft number, bank name, and all the details of documents mention in the form. After filling the form took a printout of the application form and attached your demand draft and the documents told to attached with your photocopies as required and submit to ‘The Controller of Examination, Film and Television Institute of India, Pune on or before the given date.

FTII Admit Card:

The applicant can download the FTII Hall ticket through the official website after registering the application form successfully. Before examination applicant must be prepared for all the documents required at the examination hall. The controller of exam FTII will declare the admit card to the applicant who is eligible for the exam in the first week of July approximately. Candidate must carry a print out of the admit card along with on original photo identities proof document such as Voter Card, Driving License, Pan Card or Aadhar card.

FTII Admission:

FTII Admission & Entrance Exam: Applicants will be selected by their performance in the written exam and in the workshop and interview and audition session which will be conducted at the campus of Pune. By all the tests, a merit list will be prepared for the applicant. Applicants are advised to preserve the results for further admission process.
