GATE 2025 Exam will be conducted on 1st, 2nd, 15th & 16th February 2025. GATE stands for ( Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering ) is a national level engineering test. GATE is conducted by conjointly by the Indian instituted of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology ( Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee ) on behalf of the National Coordination Board.

The GATE exam is conducted as an entrance exam for programming in engineering at the national level. Study materials for GATE are available on-line for all branches. For the GATE 2025 examination, a candidate can apply for only one among the twenty-three papers. there is 3 section in GATE paper for AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PI, TF, XE, AR, CY GG, MA, PH, and XL.

Type of Questions For a wrong answer chosen in a MCQ, there will be a negative marking.
For a 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
Likewise, for a 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
No negative marking for wrong answer(s) to MSQ or NAT questions. There is no partial marking in MSQ.

GATE 2025 General Aptitude:

Each paper can include a mandatory General Aptitude (GA) section comprising ten queries. five of those queries can carry 1-mark every, while the remaining five can each carry two marks, for a total of fifteen marks. Altogether the papers, General Aptitude (GA) there’ll be a total of sixty-five queries carrying a hundred marks, out of that 10 queries are giving a complete of fifteen marks.

In the papers bearing the codes AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PE, PI, TF and XE, the Engineering mathematics can carry around 15% of the whole marks, the general ability section can carry 15% of the whole marks and also the remaining seventieth of the whole marks is devoted to the subject of the paper.

In the papers bearing the codes AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, and XL, the general ability section can carry 15% of the whole marks and also the remaining eighty-fifths of the whole marks is devoted to the subject of the paper.

There are two different types of Question in GATE 2025:

Multiple Selection Queries (MCQ) carrying one or two marks each in all articles and sections. These issues are objective in nature, and each can have a selection of 4 answers, out of that the candidate has got to mark the correct answer(s).

(NAQ) Numerical Answer queries of one or two marks every altogether papers and section. For these queries the solution is a real number, to be entered by the candidate using the virtual keypad. No choices are going to be shown for this type of query.

An answer is a number such as 10 (an integer only). the solution is also in decimals as well, for example, 10.1 (one decimal) or 10.01 (two decimals) or 10.001 (three decimals). Where required and possible, it’s better to give NAT answer up to a maximum of 3 decimal places.
