IIT JAM 2023 Exam Pattern:

The IIT JAM 2023 exam pattern of seven test papers and the examination are conducted through on-line mode.

IIT JAM 2023 Examination is conducted on-line only as a Computer Based Test (CBT) for all Test Papers.
All the seven Test Papers of IIT JAM 2023 are of fully objective type, with 3 completely different patterns of queries, namely (i) Multiple Choice Queries (MCQs), (ii) Multiple Choose Queries (MCQs), and (iii) Numerical Answer Type (NATs) queries.
Applications are accepted on-line solely through IIT JAM 2023 web site.

A biometric system of identity verification (fingerprint) are used for IIT JAM 2023 exam and admission.

Section A:

Section B:

IIT JAM 2023 Marking Scheme:

Each section will contain a complete of sixty queries that carry a hundred marks.
There is no negative marking within Section B & C, however negative marking is done for Section A.
Negative Markings: In section A, for the one mark question, 1/3 of marks are subtracted, and for 2 marks queries, 2/3 marks are subtracted for every incorrect response.
No marks are subtracted for un-attempted queries.
