Admission Procedure
The admission in the state of Punjab law colleges will be based on the national level entrance exam & state level entrance exam.
In Punjab, various law universities and colleges conduct their own entrance exam for admission. Some of the colleges offer direct admission on the basis of merit list in UG courses.
Entrance Exams
CLAT 2025 is one of the well-known national level entrance exam conducted by the NLUs on rotation basis. Some universities will also organize their own entrance test for providing admission into the UG & PG law courses.
LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) is the university level entrance exam through which eligible candidates will get admission in the university law courses.

Law Admission 2025
Applicants willing to apply for any entrance exam must fulfill the complete eligibility criteria given below. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the written exam without fulfilling all the eligibilities.
If the candidate will find to be ineligible at the time of admission, then their candidature will be cancelled.
- Applicants should be the citizen of India.
- Applicants must pass the intermediate from a recognized board with 50% aggregate marks for admission in undergraduate courses.
- For law post graduate course, candidates should hold an LL.B or equivalent degree from any recognized institution or college.
- The qualifying examination should pass with a minimum 55% (50% for reserved categories).
- No upper age limit to apply.
- Appearing candidates can also apply.
Selection Procedure
The candidates will be called for the counselling process, after the declaration of the result. Candidates will be shortlisted as per the performance in the entrance exam.
During the counselling process, candidates have to fill their preferences of colleges and course. Candidates also have to bring the required documents for the document verification process.
After seat allotment, candidates have to report at the allotted centre for further admission process.

Applicants should carry the original documents along with one set of photocopy on the day of counselling for participating in the counselling.
