Nalanda University Admission 2024 Application Form has been Released on 1st January 2024 for Certificate Courses.

The Application Form has to be filled through online mode only.

Nalanda University 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the Nalanda University 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Indian Students

A certain minimum of three years Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).

International Students

A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of previous studies with a grade point average (GPA) of at a minimum 2.2 or above on a 4 point scale or equivalent grade if another grade point scale is used.

The international applicants shall present the final score of any one of the following in the English Language Tests/ or the proof of knowledge of English:

• TOEFL (Test of English as Foreign Language)
• IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
• Any other standard English test used on the international platform
• or completed a full-time degree-level course entirely taught and assessed in English

Eligibility and Eligibility criteria for Ph.D. Level Admission at Nalanda University for Indian and International Students.

For full-time students, this is an entirely residential program, with a stipend of 35000 INR per month.

• Nalanda University offers a 4-year doctoral program for national and international students
• For full-time students, it is a completely residential program
• For part-time students, the residence will not be provided (baring in touch with the programs/seminars for a period of not exceeding more than seven days)

Essential Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant should postgraduate with at least 65% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA), preferably with a doctoral thesis at Masters’ level or M.Phil. Degree with 65% marks or the equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).
• Applicant to submit a Letter of Self Introduction, as well as the 2 Letters of Recommendation/ References.
• Applicant to present a Statement of Purpose (SoP) (The So must indicate the reason for opting for the course/program and choosing Nalanda University)
• Applicant to present a detailed Research Proposal (which will be put through plagiarism check)
• Applicant to submit evidence of any research such as typing samples or published papers (at least 2 to 3).
• International applicants have to submit a language proficiency proof for example:
• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
• IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
• Any other standard English test on an international platform

Or, complete a full-time degree-level course taught and assessed entirely in English Qualification criteria for Employed Applicants (Part-time)

Applicant should have a Master’s degree with at least 65% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA), preferably by dissertation at Masters’ level or M.Phil. Degree with 60% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA). The applicant should have a minimum of 8-10 years of work experience.

Applicant to present a Letter of Self Introduction, and 2 Letters of Recommendation/ References.  The applicant is required to submit a Statement of Purpose (SoP) (The SoP should explicitly specify the reason for opting for the course/program and choosing Nalanda University)

The applicant presents a detailed Research Proposal (which will be put through a plagiarism check)Applicant to present evidence of any research such as writing samples or published papers (at least 2 to 3).

The application should be transmitted through the proper channel along with a NOC from the present employer International applicants have to submit language proficiency proof for example:

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). IELTS (International English Language Testing System). Any other standard English test on an international platform finished a full-time degree-level course taught and assessed fully in English.

Nalanda University 2024 Selection Process

The candidate has to pay a visit to the University website for filling the online Application Form. The candidate has to present a duly filled Application Form and a Statement of Purpose (SOP) and pay the fee of USD 8$ (Eight US Dollars only or equivalent in Indian currency) in the direction of the processing of the Application

Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview through video conferencing using Skype/ WhatsApp as per a scheduled time as intimated to the candidate. Selection will be purely on merit. Selected candidates will be recommended for provisional admission for the academic year 2024. It is not guaranteed that all the candidates who have filled the Application Form and appeared in the interview would be chosen for admission.

The overall application process for admissions is paperless and online in keeping with the University’s commitment to sustainability.
