Periyar University conveys higher-education through three modes, viz., thanks to its Departments of Study and Research, affiliated with the Colleges and Periyar Institute of Distance Education (PRIDE). The University has 28 divisions and 101 affiliated colleges.

The Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) was introduced to various programs offered by the University from 2008-09 onwards. From 2009-10 beginning in the year the University has provided certificate courses and in order to cater to the present needs of the public. Periyar University 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Before completing the application form, the candidates will need to fulfill the eligibility of Periyar university 2023.

• For B.A. Economics
  • Candidate for access to the first year of the UG degree program shall be required to have passed the higher secondary examination (Academic or Vocational) conducted by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu or other examinations adopted as the equivalent
• For B.B.A. (International Business)
  • Anyone of the subjects must be educated at the +2 level Accountancy/ 13 B.B.A (RETAIL Commerce/ Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science.
• For B.COM. (Computer Application)
  • • Anyone of the subjects must be educated at the +2 level Accountancy/ Commerce/ Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science.
• For B.Sc. Biochemistry
  • A pass in +2 with Chemistry as a compulsory subject and educated Botany and Zoology or Biology in the +2 exam.
• For M.B.A
  • Candidates for admission to the first year of the Master of Business Administration full-time degree program are obligated to possess a Bachelor’s Degree of any Recognized University.
• For M.A. Economics
  • A Candidate who has succeeded B.A., Economics or B. Com., or B.B.M., or B.B.A., or B.Sc., (Maths) B.A (Sociology) or B.A., Women Studies degree examination of Periyar University or an examination
• For M.Com
  • Pass in B.Com, B.Com (CA), B.Com (e-com), B.B.A, B.B.M, BBA/BBM (CA), B.COM (Corporate Secretaryship), B.Com (Corporate Secretaryship) along with CA, BCS, BCS (CA), B.A (Corporate Secretaryship), B.A (Corporate Secretaryship) along with CA, B.Sc (Computer Science), BCA and B.Com (Co-operation).
• For M.C.A
  • Candidates who have succeeded in any one of the following or equivalent can apply for: i) Bachelor’s degree (under 10+2+3/4) in any topic with Mathematics at +2 level. ii) Bachelor’s degree (within the framework 10+2+3/4 or 10+3 year Diploma + 3 years later entry BE) in any topic with a Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics for being one of the subjects.

Periyar University 2023 Admissions Process

The counseling would be based on the qualifying examination rank. The counseling schedule will be released by the conducting authority following the application process is over.
