Eligibility Criteria for Career choices in Pharmacy after 12th:

Eligibility is the most important factor that each candidate has got to satisfy to be eligible for any course. Candidates will check the eligibility criteria for the pharmacy course within which he/she is interested to take admission.

For B.Pharm Course: It’s the bachelor’s degree in pharmacy which will be taken after passing the 12th/intermediate examination. For this course, candidates should pass 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as a mandatory subject together with one amongst the mathematics/computer science / Biotechnology / Biology subjects and should obtained 50% marks in qualifying examination. Minimum seventeen years of age and maximum twenty-three years on or before 31st Dec of the year of admission.

For a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences: It’s the research program in the pharmacy field. Candidates will pursue this course after completing M.Pharm from a well-recognized institution.

For M.Pharm Course: The successful completion of this course leads to a master’s degree in pharmacy. A pass in Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) program with not less than 50% marks is needed to be eligible for this course. For SC/ST, there are no minimum qualifying marks.

For D.Pharm Course: It’s the diploma in pharmacy. The minimum qualification of 10+2 is required. It should be passed with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology subjects. For admission to this course, candidates should have completed seventeen years of the year of admission.

For Pharm.D Course: The first Pharm.D. program was established at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy in Los Angeles, California in 1950. The course duration is 6 years (5 years of classroom study and one year of internship). The qualification needed is 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as an obligatory subject with any one of the mathematics or Biology subject.
