Admission Procedure

The law admissions in various colleges and universities of the state will be done through different entrance tests. Many colleges offer the direct admission in law courses through merit list.

Most of the top universities and colleges consider the national level entrance exam score card for providing the admission. Most of the law colleges/universities regulate their own entrance test for providing admission.

Entrance Exams

Candidates those seeking for admission in the state colleges of Rajasthan can appear in the national level entrance exams CLAT 2024 (Common Law Admission Test), AILET, LSAT, etc.

Candidates must appear in exam to get admission in UG and PG courses of law. Candidates willing to get admission in University of Rajasthan can appear for the RULET (Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test) examination.

Law Admission 2024

The candidates those who will meet all the eligibilities given below will only be considered for admission. Without fulfilling these eligibility criteria, candidates will not be eligible to fill the application form.

• There is no restriction in upper age limit to apply in national level exams.
• For law UG courses, candidates must clear the 12th class examination from a recognized board with 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
• For PG courses, candidates should have an LL.B or equivalent degree from any recognized institution or college with minimum of 55% (50% for reserved categories).
• The qualifying examination should pass with a minimum 55% (50% for reserved categories).
• Appearing candidates will be also eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

After publishing the entrance exam result, the concerned authority will release the merit list for the candidates. The ranks will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of performance in entrance test or qualifying exam.

The priority will be given to the candidates those will have secured highest rank in the written test. After the publication of merit list candidates will be called for the counselling procedure.

At the time of counselling, candidates will have to select the choices for the colleges as per their preferences. Seats will be allotted on the basis of rank secured and availability of seats.

The candidates are required to report to the assigned institution with seat allotment letter for final admission.
